HutSix partnered with Katherine Women’s Information and Legal Service (KWILS) to create a CRM platform that centralises Community Legal Education (CLE) resources and supports domestic violence (DV) awareness.
This custom solution empowers KWILS to deliver vital legal education and support services more effectively to at-risk women across the Northern Territory, with ongoing improvements in reach and impact.
KWILS, a leading provider of legal services for women in the Katherine and Big Rivers region, faced barriers in delivering Community Legal Education (CLE) and DV support due to language and cultural challenges, limited awareness, and a geographically dispersed population.
High staff turnover and misconceptions about KWILS’s services hindered efforts to connect at-risk women with essential legal resources.
HutSix developed a custom CRM designed to house CLE and DV resources in a central, accessible platform. The CRM features a user-friendly interface that simplifies knowledge sharing and outreach, transitioning KWILS from PowerPoint presentations to a digital platform where staff can easily access, share, and update resources.
The system also includes booking and feedback tools, making it easier for KWILS to deliver CLE sessions and track their impact.
Stage 1 of the project launched in 2022, enabling KWILS to expand community awareness, deliver remote and in-person training, and document their intellectual property in a centralised location.
With this streamlined CRM, KWILS can effectively reach service providers and at-risk women, promoting DV prevention and empowering the community with accessible legal education.
As KWILS and HutSix progress through Stage 2, additional improvements are underway, including website enhancements and educational videos that explain KWILS’s services and civil law topics. The next phase will introduce an automated referral system, allowing service providers to efficiently connect clients with KWILS.
This evolving platform reflects our commitment to supporting KWILS’s mission of empowering women and expanding access to justice across the Northern Territory.
