HutSix developed a custom, cloud-based CRM for Tangentyere Constructions, reducing their monthly reporting time from two weeks to two days and enabling rapid, on-demand data access.

This flexible system empowers Tangentyere to efficiently manage housing projects across remote communities, with continuous improvements that support scalability and growth.

The Challenge

Tangentyere Constructions, a vital Aboriginal-owned construction company, faced a daunting challenge: managing and reporting maintenance for hundreds of homes across 28 communities in Alice Springs. Their old system relied on manual records and spreadsheets, making the reporting process a two-week affair each month – a time consuming task that drained resources and stifled efficiency.

The Solution

HutSix designed a tailored, cloud-based CRM that transformed how Tangentyere Constructions managed their housing maintenance. The new system enabled real-time data collection and seamless sharing with the Department of Housing, empowering Housing Maintenance Officers (HMOs) to log and update jobs directly from the field.

The Impact

With HutSix’s solution, monthly reporting time was slashed by 90%, dropping from two weeks to just two days. Reporting is now as simple as a few clicks, enabling anyone on the team to generate up-to-the-minute reports on any aspect of the housing projects, anytime and anywhere.

This radical improvement didn’t just streamline operations – it empowered Tangentyere Constructions to expand their service offerings, creating a more responsive, efficient system for housing management in remote communities.

Continuous Improvement

Today, Tangentyere Constructions continues to leverage and build upon HutSix’s CRM solution. The system’s flexibility allows for ongoing updates and improvements, adapting to new challenges and growth in housing projects. The team regularly evaluates the platform to integrate new features and refine workflows, ensuring the CRM remains a powerful tool for efficiency and impact.

Through continuous collaboration, HutSix and Tangentyere Constructions are making strides toward even greater scalability and responsiveness. The journey doesn’t stop at implementation; it’s about fostering a solution that evolves alongside Tangentyere’s needs – a true example of making the impossible, possible.
